The Marin Girls Chorus Training Division serves elementary school students with a passion for singing who wish to explore choral singing and musicianship in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Choristers in the training division learn vocal production, note-reading and musicianship. No vocal placement required; all singers are welcome!

  • Enrollment is by semester.

  • No previous singing experience required.

  • Choristers in this division typically range from grades 2-5; 6th graders looking for a more relaxed class are also welcome in the Brava ensemble.

Level II : Gaudiosa


“Joyful”

“To be sung in a merry or joyful manner”

“To be sung in a merry or joyful manner" Gaudiosa is an introductory-level ensemble serving girls in grades 2-3 . Rehearsals focus on vocal production, basic musicianship and easy ensemble singing. Rehearsals are 60 minutes; three offerings per week. Performance opportunities include one to two community concerts and our end-of-semester all chorus concert.

Level III : Brava

An intermediate-level ensemble serving girls in grades 4-6. Rehearsals further skills in vocal production and musicianship, and explore ensemble singing in two and three part-harmony. Rehearsals are 90 minutes with two offerings per week. Performance opportunities include one to two community concerts and our end-of-semester all-chorus concert. Brava students are also invited to attend the spring overnight retreat with the concert division.
